Math Resource Teacher:
Requires Special Education (SPED) Certification and Math Certification.
Academic Vocational Life Skills Teacher:
Requires SPED Certification and Core Content (EC-6) Certification. Both positions are onsite at a well-respected high school and require candidates to hold active certifications and have prior experience relevant to the specific teaching focus.
Qualifications:
Valid Texas Special Education Teacher Certification.
For Math Resource:
Math Certification required.
For Academic Vocational Life Skills:
Core Content (EC-6) Certification required. Prior teaching experience in a special education setting aligned to the role. Strong ability to create individualized education plans and adapt instruction. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and small-group instruction tailored to student needs. Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with team members and families. Utilize differentiated instruction to support diverse learning styles. Assess student progress and adapt instruction accordingly. Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment.
