Key Qualifications:

Active Special Education Teaching Certification in Texas, plus one of the following endorsements: Self Contained, Core Subjects, or Generalist (aligned with the assignments grade levels) Previous experience teaching in special education settings, preferably with exposure to life skills or functional academics classrooms Commitment to fostering an inclusive, nurturing classroom atmosphere for diverse learners Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families Ability to develop and implement effective instructional and behavioral support strategies

Role Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction tailored to the unique learning needs of students in the FASE classroom Create and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs), monitor progress, and report on student achievement Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and specialists to support student success Maintain up-to-date documentation and ensure compliance with special education requirements Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging independence and skill development in academic and daily living tasks
