You just might be the person we are looking for if you have:

Valid Texas Certificate appropriate to assignment

Special Education certification required

ESL certification required

Ability to work with school and community population

Ability to work with students in crisis situations

Valid driver's license

The mission of this role:

Provide homebound instruction and services to meet the needs of eligible students.

What success looks like for this role: Travel to student's home, hospital or other locations where the eligible student may be served.

Provide instructional services for each eligible student.

Attend ARD, 504 and/or RTI meetings for eligible students (as appropriate).

Contact student's regular teacher(s) to secure assignments and any special information needed to provide adequate instruction.

Keep accurate records on each student's assignments.

Keep attendance for student and submit to student's home campus.

Ability to maintain flexibility in the performance of required duties.

Ability to collect, analyze, and utilize criterion-referenced assessment data.

Ability to integrate assessment information into an appropriate plan for individual students.

Ability to develop and maintain interpersonal communication skills with other professionals.

Ability to modify instructional strategies, activities, and evaluations to meet individual needs in grades K-12.

Ability to adhere to local, state, and federal guidelines in the delivery of services to eligible students.

Ability to communicate the instructional program and student progress to parents.

Attend professional development as related to your instructional assignment.

Maintain schedule and documentation of students served.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Workplace operational environment to include:

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Moderate lifting required. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom or adaptive equipment. May be required to lift and position students with physical disabilities; control behavior through physical restraint; and assist non-ambulatory students.
