Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education Teaching Certification Experience supporting students with intense emotional and behavioral needs, preferably in an elementary setting Familiarity with the Why Try curriculum and PASS (Positive Approach to Student Success) framework is highly desirable Strong collaboration and communication skills, particularly for working alongside general and special ed staff Ability to develop and implement individualized education and behavior intervention plans Open to travel professionals dedicated to providing high-quality educational support
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction and behavioral support within an elementary PASS classroom Collaborate with staff to implement inclusion practices and adapt strategies for student success Utilize the Why Try curriculum to foster resilience and positive behavioral changes Monitor student progress and report on academic and behavioral goals Create a safe and supportive learning environment rooted in patience and respect Engage families and multidisciplinary teams in the student's development
