Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children with diverse learning needs and will be responsible for creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment. This role involves developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and implementing tailored instructional strategies to foster the academic, social, and emotional growth of students. Duties Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to education. Educate students using various instructional methods, including Montessori techniques, to enhance learning experiences. Provide early intervention strategies to support developmental milestones in preschool-aged children. Address behavioral health concerns through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques. Foster literacy education by incorporating engaging reading activities suitable for diverse learning levels. Ensure child welfare by creating a safe and nurturing classroom environment that promotes respect and understanding. Collaborate with other educators and specialists to support the overall development of students. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; certification in Special Education is preferred. Experience in toddler care or preschool settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of IEP development and implementation processes. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and colleagues. Familiarity with behavioral health practices and early intervention strategies. A commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
