8am-4pm
Monday-Friday Pay:
$48-$52/hourly(Based on education and experience) We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Life Skills Teacher to provide specialized instruction and academic support to students receiving Special Education services. This position will work with students in a high school setting, providing targeted math instruction, accommodations, and individualized support based on student needs and IEP goals. Key Responsibilities Provide specialized math instruction to students receiving Special Education services. Develop and implement instruction aligned with students' IEP goals and individual learning needs. Provide accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instruction as appropriate. Collaborate with general education teachers, Special Education staff, related service providers, and families. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of academic performance and IEP goals. Support students in developing math skills, problem-solving strategies, and confidence in the classroom. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of student plans. Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment. Follow campus, district, and state Special Education requirements and procedures. Qualifications Texas Special Education certification required Texas Core Content certification required Experience working with high school students preferred Experience providing math instruction in a Special Education/resource setting preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills Ability to differentiate instruction and support students with varying academic needs
