Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a real difference for students every day as a Special Education Teacher supporting high-achieving programs just outside the Dallas area. Two exciting full-time contract opportunities are now available, each geared toward educators ready to bring their enthusiasm, expertise, and dedication to a welcoming school environment. Open Positions:
Math Resource Teacher Requires both Special Education and Math certifications. Experience supporting students in resource or inclusion settings strongly preferred. Guide students to build critical mathematical skills and confidence. Academic Vocational Life Skills Teacher Special Education certification and Core Content credentials required (EC-6 accepted). Previous work in life skills or self-contained classrooms ideal. Empower students by developing academic, vocational, and daily living abilities to support greater independence.
Desired Attributes & Experience:
Valid certifications as specified above. Previous success in special education settings, with ability to individualize instruction and adapt content. Excellent communication for collaborating with families, paraprofessionals, and related service staff. Strong classroom management and creativity in engaging diverse learners.
Responsibilities:
Plan and provide direct instruction in alignment with IEP goals. Develop supportive learning environments that promote inclusion and student growth. Track and report student progress, adapting strategies as needed. Collaborate with general education teachers and participate in ARD/IEP meetings. Foster positive relationships with students and their support teams.
