Job Description

In this impactful contract opportunity, youll provide vital support and instruction to students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) in a full-time, onsite capacity. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through late May 2027, giving you the chance to make a meaningful difference throughout the school years ahead. Youll be working in a floating position across various schools, with the specific caseload to be determined based on student needs.

Desired Qualifications:

Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Previous experience working with visually impaired students strongly preferred Ability to adapt instructional materials and deliver individualized lessons Collaborative approach with school staff, specialists, and families Strong organizational skills and professional flexibility for floating assignments Commitment to fostering independence and achievement in students with visual impairments

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct instruction and support to K-12 students with visual impairments Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in accordance with student needs Consult with general education teachers and other service providers to ensure accessibility Advocate for student accommodations and inclusion within the school setting Travel between assigned school sites as needed to provide services Maintain thorough records and monitor progress Participate in educational meetings, trainings, and interdisciplinary collaborations
