Earn up to $187/Day Pay rates that often exceed what you'd earn by applying directly to the district CPI training provided plus BCBA and RBT support included for Autism/Life Skills and Behavior classroom teachers Paid training hours Weekly paychecks via direct deposit W-2 employment, so no worrying about withholding your own taxes Reimbursement for state and federal background check expenses 401(k) enrollment after meeting eligibility requirements Referral program: refer friends to work with Scoot, and after they complete 10 shifts, you both earn $100 gift cards Role Requirements Hold a Bachelor's Degree Hold a valid Special Education Teacher Certification Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor A passion for education and putting students first An empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive to be the best you can be You'll Stand Out If You Have experience in self-contained Autism/Life Skills, Behavior, or Resource/Inclusion settings Are bilingual and/or have bilingual teaching experience Are dedicated to continuous professional development and learning Have strong communication skills and adapt easily to different environments
What You'll Do Self-Contained Autism/Life Skills:
Plan and deliver instruction in academics, communication, functional skills, independence, behavior, and daily living skills based on each student's
IEP Self-Contained Behavior:
Provide specialized academic and behavioral instruction for students with Emotional Disabilities and significant behavioral needs, implementing BIPs, positive behavior supports, and coping and self-regulation strategies
Resource/Inclusion:
Provide targeted Reading and/or Math instruction based on IEP goals, and push into general education classrooms with specially designed instruction, accommodations, and modifications Across all programs, you will: Implement and monitor IEPs, collect data, and measure progress toward goals Adjust instruction based on student progress Direct the work of the Instructional Assistants supporting your students Collaborate with general education teachers Role requirements will be outlined in the Educator Employee Handbook and shared during the interview process.
