Two full-time contract roles are open immediately through the end of the school year, serving at a well-supported high school in the Plano, TX area. Qualifications & Experience:
Current Special Education certification required (SPED Cert)
For Math Resource Teacher:
valid Math certification is also essential
For Academic Vocational Life Skills Teacher:
must hold core content certification (EC-6 welcome) Demonstrated experience supporting students in special education settings, specifically within resource or life skills programs Background in developing and modifying curriculum to meet individualized needs Excellent communication skills with ability to positively collaborate with staff, families, and students Commitment to upholding all policies and guidelines pertaining to confidentiality, student safety, and inclusive practices
Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted instruction using research-based methodologies to support academic and functional growth Adapt and differentiate curriculum materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs Monitor progress, maintain comprehensive records, and regularly report on student advancement Communicate ongoing with parents, guardians, and team members regarding student goals and achievements Foster a supportive, respectful, and structured classroom environment Actively participate in ARD/IEP meetings, contributing insights for individualized plans This is an onsite position in a collaborative high school environment, where your expertise and commitment to individualized support can truly shine.
