Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Lead Two-Year-Old Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young children will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning and development. In this dynamic role, you will create a warm, engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Your expertise in child development, curriculum development, and classroom management will inspire young learners to explore and thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while working within a supportive and collaborative community. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of two-year-olds, incorporating literacy education, early intervention strategies, and physical activity. Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive social interactions among children. Manage daily classroom routines, including diapering, potty training support, meal times, and rest periods with patience and professionalism. Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and address challenges effectively in accordance with best practices and mandated reporting laws. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings, updates, and written reports. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, assessment strategies—including standardized testing—and integrating child welfare practices into daily activities. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations by maintaining first aid and CPR certifications and adhering to childcare standards. Experience Prior experience working with children in early childhood education settings, particularly with toddlers or preschool-aged students. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education needs, early intervention programs, and literacy education methods. Experience teaching physical education or promoting gross motor skills among young children is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork within a preschool or private school environment. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety procedures. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive classrooms is advantageous.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
