A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Educators who are passionate about working with students to help them overcome their own personal obstacles, so they can reach their highest potential as measured by themselves and their families, not by standards set by an arbitrary group of people who don't know them.IDEAL EXPERIENCE INCLUDES
- Minimum of 7 years SpEd classroom experience
- Teaching Certificate
- Experience with lesson enrichment, curriculum compacting, and differentiation
- Creative and engaging lesson development
- Special Education experience required Most importantly, we want people who are consistent, patient, team-oriented, and ready to make a difference.
Pay:
$30.00 - $32.00 per hourBenefits:
