e2112-78665 Job Description Empower students as a dedicated educator serving as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in a full-time, long-term contract role. Working directly with one student (1:1 pediatric), youll make a meaningful impact while collaborating with school staff to provide specialized support and promote an inclusive learning environment. This on-site opportunity is well-suited for professionals interested in travel assignments, and is located conveniently near Round Rock, TX. To excel in this position, youll need: A Bachelors Degree (B.A.) as a minimum educational requirement. Current state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired. Experience working 1:1 with pediatric students or interest in direct student support. Ability to adapt and implement individualized instruction for students with visual impairments. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering tailored instruction and support to a single student with visual impairments based on IEP goals. Developing lesson materials and accessible resources that foster independence and academic growth. Coordinating with general education teachers, therapists, families, and staff to ensure comprehensive student support. Monitoring progress, maintaining records, and participating in IEP meetings and collaborative planning. Providing guidance on assistive technology and orientation/mobility needs as appropriate.
