Job Description

Supplemental Health Care is partnering with a school district in Schertz, TX who are seeking dedicated and qualified Special Education Teachers for a full-time school-based contract opportunity during the 2026-2027 school year. This role offers the opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs while collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to promote student success. The specific age group, classroom setting, and caseload will be determined based on district needs. Opportunities may be available across a variety of grade levels and special education programs. Responsibilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities. Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet individual learning needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families. Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals. Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and other required educational team meetings. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Utilize behavior management and instructional strategies to support student achievement. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field. Active Special Education teaching certification required. Appropriate state-issued Special Education endorsement/certification required. Experience working with students with special needs preferred. Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs.
Contract Details:
$43.00 - $45.00 per hour
