In this contract role, you'll make a daily difference in the lives of students, leading a class of 13 inspiring children alongside three dedicated paraprofessionals. Youll collaborate with a supportive educational team to design individualized instruction and foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere in the classroom. Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with elementary-aged students, ideally in an ALE or life skills setting Strong knowledge of instructional strategies and behavior management techniques Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, parents, and administration Compassionate communicator dedicated to advocating for each childs unique needs

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Engage and supervise students throughout daily learning routines Provide differentiated instruction and behavioral support Oversee and guide paraprofessional staff Maintain detailed records and participate in IEP meetings Foster a supportive, respectful classroom community
