This contract position is ideal for a dedicated Special Education Teacher eager to make a direct impact by managing a classroom of 13 students, working alongside a team of three paraprofessionals.

Key Qualifications:

Current certification as a Special Education Teacher Experience with elementary-aged students, particularly in special education settings Strong collaborative skills to lead and mentor paraprofessionals Familiarity with ALE (Adaptive Learning Environment) teaching strategies preferred Excellent organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective, individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in the classroom Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom culture that meets a range of unique learning and behavioral needs Supervise and guide three paraprofessionals, ensuring cohesive support for all students Track and document student progress and adjust instructional techniques accordingly Engage in regular communication with families and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and advocate for student success Maintain compliance with all special education policies and local, state, and federal regulations
