In this role, youll provide guidance and instruction in a self-contained classroom, supporting a vibrant group of 12 students with a range of needsincluding autism, sensory processing differences, communication challenges (both verbal and non-verbal), and social/emotional disturbances. Your expertise will create a safe, structured environment where students thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Current Texas Special Education (SPED) licensure required Proven experience working with students with autism, emotional/behavioral needs, and varying functioning levels Familiarity with assistive/augmentative communication (AAC) devices and supporting non-verbal students Ability to address and manage sensory issues and toileting needs Strong classroom management skills and a compassionate, adaptable teaching style Commitment to collaborative teamwork with paraprofessionals and related service providers
