Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Hold a valid Texas Special Education (SPED) teaching license Experience with early elementary (K-2nd grade) students preferred Skilled in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) Passionate about working with students who have life skills needs Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons designed to meet individual IEP goals Adapt curriculum and instruction to promote student independence and growth Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed Work closely with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure a cohesive support system Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights This onsite position consists of 37.5 hours per week, and runs from August 20, 2026 through June 3, 2027.
