This contract opportunity is designed for experienced Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) who are passionate about inclusive education. Youll collaborate with school staff and families to help students develop valuable skills, adapt curriculum to their needs, and foster independence.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Credentials as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired or eligibility to obtain certification in Texas Previous experience supporting students with visual impairments in school settings Strong grasp of Braille, assistive technologies, and individualized education plans (IEPs) Able to communicate effectively with students, families, and educational teams Organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple assignments effectively

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments across various grade levels Collaborate with educators to adapt classroom materials and curricula Assess students individual needs and develop tailored learning strategies Train classroom staff and family members on supporting visually impaired students Support the development and implementation of IEPs Stay updated with best practices and relevant legislation in the field
