This full-time, onsite contract opportunity is perfect for experienced Teachers of the Visually Impaired. You'll serve students with visual impairments across multiple campuses in the vibrant area near The Colony, TX. Collaborate with dedicated educators and play a pivotal role in ensuring that all students receive the adapted instruction and resources necessary to thrive.

Key Qualifications:

Current certification in Visual Impairment (TVI) Previous experience serving students with visual impairments in school settings highly desired Strong knowledge of assistive technology, adapted curriculum, and Braille instruction Proven ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse student needs Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to travel across assigned campuses as part of a floating caseload Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver direct and consultative instruction to students with visual impairments in both individual and small group settings Collaborate with general education and special education staff to ensure accessibility of instructional materials Assess student skills and develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals tailored to unique learning needs Provide functional vision assessments and recommend appropriate accommodations and modifications Train staff, families, and students on the use of specialized equipment, Braille, and adaptive technology Maintain accurate records and communications with IEP teams
