Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of middle school students as a contract Educational Diagnostician for the upcoming academic year. In this essential role supporting middle school learners, youll collaborate closely with faculty and an ARD Specialist to ensure students unique educational needs are fully evaluated and addressed. The assignment is full-time, with a standard 40-hour work week, and will run until late May 2027.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician certification (required) Proven experience as a diagnostician within Texas public schools, ideally with several years in the role In-depth knowledge of ARDs (Admission, Review, and Dismissal meetings), student evaluations, and special education compliance Willingness to work exclusively on campus (in-person attendance is required) Ability to pass district background check, including fingerprinting Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive student evaluations to determine eligibility for special education Prepare thorough, timely reports and communicate findings to staff and families Participate actively in ARD meetings, collaborating with the support of an ARD Specialist on campus Develop individualized education recommendations tailored to each students needs Serve as a knowledgeable resource on assessment practices and compliance for teachers and administrators Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal special education guidelines Why consider this opportunity?
