Lead classroom activities that promote literacy education, math skills, behavioral health, and social-emotional learning. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavioral therapy techniques and behavior management strategies to create a safe and supportive environment. Conduct assessments such as standardized testing and progress monitoring to tailor instruction to individual student needs. Collaborate with families to develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities or developmental delays. Mentor and support teaching staff by providing guidance on classroom management, curriculum development, and inclusive practices for working with children with autism or other disabilities. Maintain detailed records of student progress, behavior reports, and communication logs while ensuring compliance with privacy policies. Facilitate early intervention strategies and provide speech therapy or literacy tutoring as needed to support child development goals. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, special education, deaf education, behavioral health, and library services for early learners. Qualifications Proven classroom experience working with young children in preschool or early childhood settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, special education practices, and behavioral health strategies. Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education programs. Familiarity with IEP processes, standardized testing procedures, and behavioral therapy techniques. Excellent communication skills for mentoring staff and collaborating with families. Background in working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Certification or training in speech therapy, behavioral management, or early intervention is preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity.
