Join our team and play a key role in preparing students for rewarding careers in automotive technology. As the Automotive Instructor, Lab Specialist, you will support the classroom instructor by providing essential hands-on training in our automotive lab. You'll supervise students as they learn industry-standard practices and develop their technical skillset. Responsibilities of the Automotive Instructor, Lab Specialist include, but are not limited to:Oversee lab operations and ensure all safety procedures are consistently followed.
Observe student work and provide coaching, correction, and professional guidance to ensure proper industry practices are used.
Maintain and organize shop hand tools, equipment, and workspace, ensuring everything is ready for efficient learning.
Actively support student success through strong communication, initiative, and teamwork.
What We're Looking For:
Education Requirements:
A high school diploma or the equivalent.Certifications & Experience:
ASE Certification in the related course OR at least five years of professional industry experience as an automotive technician. Candidates without ASE Certification must obtain certification for each course taught within one year of hire.Organizational Abilities:
