Soliant Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school team near Cape Charles, VA. This is a full-time contract opportunity offering the flexibility of hourly W2 employment - ideal for educators looking for both stability and work-life balance while making a meaningful impact on students' lives.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive hourly pay: $40-$51/hour Weekly direct deposit W2 employment through Soliant Schools Comprehensive benefits through United Healthcare (medical, dental, vision) 401(k) with company match Ongoing support from a dedicated Soliant recruiter throughout your assignment
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide tailored instruction to support students with diverse learning needs Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to foster inclusive classrooms Track and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and behavior
Qualifications:
Active state certification in Special Education Previous experience working with students with special needs preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills
Interview Process:
10-15 minute initial screening with a Soliant recruiter 20-30 minute virtual interview with the school team Offers are typically extended within 24 hours
