Key Qualifications:

Active Special Education Teacher certification, meeting state requirements Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in special education settings Deep understanding of general education curriculum adaptation and best practices for differentiated instruction Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with general educators, support staff, and families Commitment to inclusive education and fostering a positive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

Teach a self-contained third-grade special education class, utilizing general education curriculum materials Manage a caseload of 10 students, tailoring instruction to meet individual academic, social, and emotional needs Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and participate in IEP meetings and team planning Create a classroom atmosphere that supports student engagement, confidence, and growth Assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed for optimal outcomes Collaborate closely with classroom assistants, therapists, and other school team members Maintain thorough records in compliance with district and state guidelines This full-time position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, through May 21.
