As an educator for students with hearing differences, you will make a meaningful impact on learning outcomes and communication accessibility. Youll collaborate with school staff and families to ensure all students have the resources they need to thrive both academically and socially.
Qualifications & Required Experience:
Valid teaching certification with an endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) education Experience teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across elementary and/or secondary levels Deep understanding of accessibility, communication modes, and assistive technology in DHH education Strong collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and families Creative, flexible approach to individualized instruction
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instruction to students using appropriate methods tailored to individual student needs Assess student progress and adapt strategies accordingly Consult with teachers and staff to support inclusive practices within the general education setting Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with parents and related service providers Foster a classroom atmosphere where students feel valued and empowered This contract position allows you to serve students across multiple districts, creating a dynamic and engaging workday.
