9586944-23803 Job Description Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting a medically fragile student in a school-based 1:1 role. This critical assignment runs for a 9-week introductory period (8/2410/23) with the strong possibility to extend through the full academic year if all goes well. Working closely with one student, youll make an immediate and lasting impact, while collaborating with a dedicated educational team.

Key Qualifications:

Valid paraprofessional licensure in Virginia, or an Associates degree or higher (please provide upon applying) Proven comfort and hands-on experience supporting students with medical needs, including seizure protocols, wheelchair transfers, and toileting assistance Calm, compassionate demeanor and ability to remain attentive during medical events Reliable attendance and a dedication to the students care and educational success

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver 1:1 assistance to a medically fragile student during all school activities Follow individualized care plans, respond promptly to medical needs, and communicate regularly with nursing/clinical staff Support physical needs, including safe wheelchair mobility, positioning, and hygiene tasks Foster a positive, encouraging environment adapted to the students learning and health requirements Maintain thorough records of observations, incidents, and progress, sharing updates with the instructional team
