In this role, you will create a warm, engaging classroom environment tailored to the developmental needs of toddlers. We are committed to providing a paid, enriching experience that emphasizes growth, creativity, and early childhood development. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy education, motor skills, and social-emotional development for 2-year-olds. Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence while adhering to child welfare standards. Manage daily classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor activities with patience and professionalism. Use behavior management techniques to guide positive interactions and resolve conflicts effectively. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about each child's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to development or behavior. Maintain detailed records of child development progress, attendance, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws. Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that incorporate Montessori methods or other early childhood education philosophies as appropriate. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings. Knowledge of child development principles specific to toddlers aged 2 years old. Strong classroom management skills combined with effective communication skills for parent interaction. Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional training in special education or early intervention is a plus. Familiarity with curriculum development, standardized testing for early learners, and teaching physical education activities. Experience applying behavior management strategies and implementing lesson plans aligned with childhood development standards. Ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to fostering a safe and stimulating learning environment. Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
