Qualifications & Experience:

Certification or licensure in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education required Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in K-12 settings is preferred Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or signed communication methods is strongly desired Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and specialists Strong communication and advocacy skills

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and group instruction to deaf or hard of hearing students, adapting curriculum as needed Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching strategies for optimal outcomes Work closely with general and special education staff to develop and implement IEPs Foster an environment that encourages language development, inclusion, and student self-advocacy Serve as a resource for colleagues and families regarding deaf education and accommodations This position values professionals who are adaptable, compassionate, and committed to empowering students.
