Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-specific) Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or a related field Previous experience teaching or assisting in a special education setting Understanding of IEPs and ability to develop individualized plans Solid communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues Adaptability, patience, and a supportive approach with learners of varying abilities
Responsibilities:
Create and implement instructional activities tailored to each students IEP Foster a positive, inclusive classroom that meets academic and behavioral needs Collaborate regularly with fellow educators, therapists, and support staff Track student progress, gather data, and maintain documentation for compliance Communicate effectively with families and actively participate in IEP meetings Adjust teaching strategies as needed to maximize student success Support students in both academic and social-emotional development
