Qualifications/Experience:
Active Virginia Department of Education (DOE) Certification (TVI) Experience in teaching or providing support to visually impaired students strongly preferred Willingness to start the VA Dept. of Social Services check immediately Able to complete VA-required TB test Flexibility with schedule and willingness to travel between school sites as assigned Open to a half-time role, with the possibility of increasing to full-time
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative vision services to students from PreK through 12th grade Adapt instruction and materials to meet diverse visual needs Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion Track service minutes and maintain accurate records for a dynamic caseload Act as an advocate and resource for students with vision needs and their families
