Job Description

Special Education Teacher for a 36‑week contract in Tappahannock, Virginia. Responsible for developing individualized education plans and supporting students with special needs. Earn up to $53 per hour and contribute to a high‑impact educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs Collaborate with staff, parents, and administrators to support student success Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment Ensure compliance with school policies and state regulations

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year experience in educational settings or equivalent Relevant teaching certification for Special Education in Virginia Minimum 1 year experience as a Special Education Teacher with strong classroom management and collaborative skills Ability to work day shift, pass background check, excellent communication, and adapt to facility needs
