Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Valid certification as a Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) Experience working with K-12 students in school-based settings Strong skills in assessments, evaluations, and developing individualized education plans (IEPs) Knowledge of assistive technologies, communication strategies, and accommodations for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for DHH students Design and implement individualized lessons and strategies to maximize student participation and achievement Consult with teachers, staff, and families to create accessible learning experiences Support the integration of assistive technology in the classroom Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings Adapt services as needed for potential coverage leave in the future
