Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid teaching certification with an endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, preferably in a school setting Strong understanding of various communication methods, including ASL and auditory/oral approaches Ability to adapt lessons to meet individual student needs Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Provide direct instruction, both individually and in small groups, using appropriate communication strategies Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote accessibility and successful inclusion Advocate for and support the use of assistive technology, accommodations, and modifications Offer resources and guidance to families to reinforce learning and communication at home Travel between assigned schools to ensure continuity of services and support This contract position is ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and appreciate a role that lets them work in various educational settings.
