Overview Woodbridge Islamic School is seeking full-time elementary teachers for Grades 2-4 and part-time middle school teachers. We are looking for dependable, hardworking educators who care about student learning, work well with colleagues, and contribute to a positive school community. Teachers must be present and punctual. Our students need consistent instruction, and our team relies on staff members who arrive on time, come prepared, meet deadlines, and communicate promptly when an absence is unavoidable. Successful candidates can manage several responsibilities at once while maintaining an organized, supportive classroom. Responsibilities Plan and teach engaging lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and students' needs. Set clear learning goals and explain concepts in ways students can understand. Assess student learning through classwork, homework, quizzes, tests, and projects. Grade work and keep student records and the online gradebook current. Use assessment results to identify learning gaps and adjust instruction. Establish clear classroom routines and maintain a respectful, productive learning environment. Supervise students during class, transitions, and assigned duties. Communicate professionally with families about student progress, assignments, and concerns. Maintain lesson plans, instructional materials, and required documentation. Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership, attend meetings, and participate in professional development. Support school events and other duties connected to student learning and school operations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Three to four years of teaching experience. Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills. Ability to meet the needs of students with different learning levels. Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Ability to support the values and mission of Woodbridge Islamic School.
