Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students as a compassionate educator specializing in the Autism program. This full-time contract opportunity places you in a supportive, structured environment, guiding students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a self-contained classroom dedicated to their growth and development.
What Youll Bring:
Active Virginia Special Education Teaching License or eligibility to obtain one Demonstrated experience developing and implementing IEPs Strong working knowledge of special education compliance and required documentation Proficiency in classroom management and behavior support strategies Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, behavior specialists, and families
Preferred Background:
Previous experience teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder Experience in self-contained special education classroom settings Familiarity with ABA principles, structured teaching, visual schedules, social stories, and functional communication systems Experience supporting students with significant cognitive and behavioral needs Crisis prevention and de-escalation training
What Youll Do:
