Key Qualifications:
Valid Vermont Early Childhood Endorsement, or eligibility for a provisional license. Experience in special education settings, ideally with early childhood populations. Strong knowledge of IEP process, developmentally appropriate practices, and individual interventions. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Flexibility to work across 3-4 locations as caseload grows during the year.
What Youll Do:
Provide individualized instruction and support to preschool and early elementary students with diverse abilities. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with classroom teachers, families, and service providers. Travel between 3-4 nearby sites, adapting teaching methods to a variety of classroom environments. Foster inclusive and positive learning atmospheres, focusing on each childs social, emotional, and academic development. Track progress, maintain records, and participate in team meetings to ensure students receive the support they need. Resourcefully communicate with parents, general education staff, and support services. Manage daily schedule from 8:00am to 3:30pm; some flexibility to consider part-time hours.
