As a Special Education Teacher in a full-time, contract role, you'll create an engaging and inclusive environment near Putney, VT. Your expertise in SPED will allow you to collaborate with general and special education staff, ensuring that every student receives the individualized attention and resources they deserve.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current certification as a Special Education Teacher Previous experience in an inclusion setting preferred Strong knowledge of IEP development, documentation, and implementation Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet diverse needs Excellent communication and collaborative skills for working with educators, families, and support staff Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver differentiated instruction in a full-time inclusion classroom Develop, review, and implement IEPs tailored to each student's abilities Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and therapists to design classroom strategies and accommodations Assess students' progress and adapt instructional techniques to boost learning outcomes Provide advocacy and support for students with special needs, encouraging independence and confidence Engage families and caregivers in the educational process
