Job Description

This contract opportunity is ideal for a talented Special Education Teacher seeking to make a positive difference in a school setting near Springfield, VT. Collaborate with a supportive educational team and help empower students with diverse learning needs to reach their full potential.
Key Qualifications:
Current license or eligibility for licensure as a Special Education Teacher in Vermont Previous experience teaching or supporting students with disabilities, preferably in a school environment Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance Excellent classroom management and individualized instructional skills Outstanding communication abilities with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Adaptability, compassion, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and assess individualized education plans tailored to each students strengths and needs Deliver engaging classroom instruction and adapt curriculum materials as needed Work closely with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers to ensure student success and inclusion Monitor student progress, maintain detailed documentation, and participate in IEP meetings Foster a safe, supportive, and respectful learning environment Engage with parents and guardians regularly, supporting open communication and involvement in the students education
