Desired Experience and Qualifications:

Valid Vermont Professional Teaching License with one of the following: Special Educator Endorsement, Special Education Consulting Teacher Endorsement, or Intensive Special Education Teacher Endorsement Prior experience working with students with disabilities, including executive function challenges, Autism, severe behaviors, or high-functioning Autism Creativity and a flexible mindset—especially for pilot program roles Commitment to collaborative, innovative instructional practices Fingerprinting clearance (transferable from recent Vermont school assignments if applicable) Strong communication skills and a passion for individualized student support

Role Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction and support within either a high school or elementary setting Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team (including PT/OT staff for elementary placements) Help develop and implement pilot initiatives aimed at preparing high school students for real-world employment and daily living skills Support students working towards academic milestones in reading, writing, math, and important life skills Participate in professional development and contribute to a positive, solutions-oriented school culture You'll join a supportive and innovative educational community. Both high school and elementary assignments are available—two at the high school for a new pilot program, and one as part of an elementary team.
