You'll be working onsite with a dedicated team, providing specialized instruction and fostering growth for students with various disabilities. Qualifications:
Hold a valid Washington State Certification for Special Education. Demonstrated experience or strong interest in working with students across a broad range of disabilities. Skilled at adapting lesson plans and instructional strategies to individual learning needs. Strong communication abilities, comfortable collaborating with families and support staff. Ability to create an inclusive, nurturing classroom atmosphere that supports social and academic development.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specially designed instruction to elementary students with varying disabilities. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines. Utilize a variety of teaching methods to engage students and facilitate progress. Collaborate closely with school teams, families, and service providers to coordinate support. Monitor student performance, conduct assessments, and adjust instruction as needed. Participate in professional development and team meetings to stay informed on best practices. This role runs from ASAP through June 11, 2027, Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours daily. Flexible interview options are available—with preference for in-person meetings, but virtual interviews via ZOOM are possible.
