Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners by supporting students with diverse needs as a Special Education Teacher. This full-time, onsite contract role spans the academic year through June 11, 2027, working with elementary grades. Conveniently scheduled during weekdays (Monday through Friday) for 7.5 hours each day, you'll have the opportunity to engage with students presenting a variety of disabilities in a dynamic school environment.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Washington State certification as a Special Education Teacher Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred Knowledge of best practices for addressing various disabilities and adapting instruction accordingly Effective communication skills and collaborative spirit when working with multidisciplinary teams Strong organizational skills, compassion, and dedication to student growth
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth Collaborate closely with families, staff, and other specialists to maximize student outcomes Perform ongoing assessments and maintain accurate progress documentation Model patience, creativity, and advocacy on behalf of your students Enjoy working in a supportive educational setting where your expertise is valued.
