Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students by supporting their unique learning needs in a vibrant educational environment. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Special Education Teacher with a passion for helping children with diverse abilities succeed academically and personally. You'll collaborate closely with faculty and families, utilizing your expertise to adapt curriculum and ensure every student has the resources necessary for success. What we're seeking: Valid Washington State Special Education Teacher certification Experience working with elementary-aged children (preferred) Comfort and skill in supporting students with a range of disabilities Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work onsite, Monday through Friday, for 7.5-hour shifts Flexibility to participate in interviews both virtually (via Zoom) and in-person as needed Core responsibilities: Develop, implement, and adjust Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in a supportive classroom setting Partner with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to coordinate student progress Maintain compliance with state and federal special education guidelines Track and report on students' progress toward academic and social goals Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom culture This rewarding assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through June 11, 2027, providing stability and the chance to make a lasting impact.
