Qualifications:

Valid and active Washington State teaching license with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Proven experience or training working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing Ability to develop and adapt educational plans to suit diverse learning needs Understanding of assistive technology, communication modalities, and language development for DHH students Strong organizational skills and a collaborative approach to working with families and educational staff

Responsibilities:

Provide tailored educational services to students with hearing differences across various grade levels Design and implement IEPs, using evidence-based strategies and accommodations Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and specialists to promote inclusive learning Monitor, assess, and document student progress to ensure academic and social growth Advocate for accessibility and participate in IEP/504 meetings as a DHH expert Communicate regularly with families to keep them informed and involved in student progress This contract position offers a dynamic, flexible schedule within a close-knit educational team, plus the satisfaction of watching students gain confidence and academic skills through your guidance.
