Embrace the opportunity to foster growth for children and adolescents as a contracted Special Education Teacher for the full academic year. Multiple rewarding roles are available, including Elementary Resource, Junior High Resource, and Junior High Support Center positions (37.5 hours/week), as well as a 0.8 FTE Elementary Resource Teacher position (30 hours/week). All assignments are onsite and follow the school calendar, offering you the consistency of a school-year schedule.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification for Washington State (or eligibility to obtain) Experience working with students requiring resource support or within support center environments Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills Aptitude for adapting instructional strategies to meet individual student goals Dedication to building positive, supportive relationships with students and families Previous experience in elementary and/or junior high settings preferred
