A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri- 3:35 pm
- 6:30pm; Wednesday 2:05
- 6:30pm; approx.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist the Program Director to run a licensed, center-based, school age afterschool program. Drive to local schools (within a 2-3 mile radius), pick up students and transport them back to Positive Ally Learning Center. Conduct extra curriculars (science, visual art, nutrition, etc.), and help students complete their homework. Training will be provided to you. Clean and sanitize the classroom and center daily.Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Seeking people who love students, have a pleasing personality, a can-do attitude, and are willing to learn the skills needed for doing this job well. Team Player 2+ years of prior experience teaching elementary school age students a strong plus The right candidates will have the opportunity to become a Program Director in due time.
