This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) is a back-fill assignment, continuing through June 17, 2027. You'll serve as a caring educator within the LRC1 program at the elementary level, delivering individualized instruction and interventions to help every student achieve their personal best.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Washington State Special Education teaching license and certification Commitment to acquiring or maintaining fingerprint clearance through OSPI Demonstrated experience or enthusiasm for working with elementary students in a Learning Resource Center (LRC) environment Effective communication and collaboration skills for partnering with students, families, and colleagues Strong organizational and documentation abilities A passion for fostering inclusive classrooms and supporting diverse learners
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support to students with IEPs, tailoring strategies to meet a range of learning needs Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers Prepare and implement individualized education plans, write clear documentation, and participate in IEP meetings Foster a positive, encouraging classroom atmosphere where every student feels valued Communicate regularly with families to engage them as partners in their child's learning journey Stay current with best practices in special education Enjoy the stability of a long-term contract in a supportive setting where your expertise changes lives.
