Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized educational services to visually impaired students according to their IEPs, maintaining compliance with state and federal requirements Schedule and provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly minutes of direct and consultative services totaling about 15 hours per week Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, families, and related service providers to develop and implement effective instructional strategies Adapt curriculum materials, provide orientation and mobility support, and offer assistive technology recommendations as appropriate Complete all necessary lesson documentation, progress monitoring, and student records

Qualifications:

Valid Washington Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification required Must complete fingerprinting through OSPI before starting Experience working with school-aged children who have varying levels of visual impairment Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills This position is onsite only, offering a consistent schedule from August 26, 2026, through June 16, 2027.
