Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Hold an active license in cross-categorical special education in Wisconsin, or be willing to apply for a reciprocal license with current licensure from another state Prior experience in a school setting is preferred, though applications from new teachers passionate about special education are welcome Display a strong commitment to education and an enthusiastic, dependable work ethic Ability to work full time, adhering to the school schedule for the contract duration Bring excellent collaboration and communication skills to partner with staff, parents, and students
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the individual needs of high school students with exceptionalities Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth Maintain regular communication with families and other professionals regarding student progress Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in special education
