Key Qualifications:

Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience or coursework in Intellectual Disabilities (ID) programming highly preferred Previous experience working with grades 4-6 is a plus Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in the ID program Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction that supports students' academic, social, and emotional growth Maintain ongoing communication with families and interdisciplinary team members Monitor student progress, maintain records, and adjust instruction as needed Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence Provide support to general education teachers and staff in implementing accommodations and modifications This assignment begins September 1st and runs through June 4th, offering ample opportunity to see the real impact of your work over the course of the academic year.
